Don’t delay, tickets selling fast for Jávea Players’ My Fair Lady. One of the main characters is Professor Higgins who bets his house guest he can transform a Cockney girl into a lady.

Our Colonel Pickering, Robin Baxter, joined Careline Theatre with no previous theatrical experience and no intention of performing on stage.

After playing Private Pike in Dad´s Army, he was instantly bitten by the acting. He’s since has played over 20 principal roles, including Dave in The Full Monty where he bared all – or did he?  Colonel Pickering is his first appearance with Jávea Players.

There’s much beavering behind the scenes: carpenters and painters made the scenery. Ladies with nimble fingers have designed and sewn the gorgeous costumes and props.  The lighting/sound technicians have worked out cues to ensure a polished performance. Plus the people who man the Bar, Front of House Managers and programme sellers. Thanks to Kru for doing hair and Novelett Bodden for make-up.

My Fair Lady will be performed on 13th April in Rojales, Capitol Theatre, at 19.00.  Tickets 12€ See and
