One of the fascinating aspects of being part of the ADAPT Theatre Group is the variety of backgrounds, walks of life and cultures that people bring together for a common purpose. This is the certainly the case with two of our newest additions, Anastasia who is a financial consultant originally from Russia and who has also lived in Belgium and Joe, a British retired engineer who has also lived in Turkey.
Anastasia’s first love is music which she studied at music school in Russia and has sung in choirs in Saint Petersburg, Belgium and Spain. Joe also has a background in choral singing and has now discovered a new facet of acting with the ADAPT Theatre Group.
After substituting a few times for absent participants last year, Anastasia decided to join our group which means that she can now “combine my professional background with my artistic passion, bringing energy, dedication, and creativity to every performance.” And in Joe’s words: “The group has made me very welcome and has given me a different (and challenging!) dimension to my life here and a chance to act – something I have longed for over a number of years.”
