Stagestruck Theatre Group are looking forward to presenting their next show, From a Jack to a King’, an original script written by Stagestruck Director, Leigh Humphries.  It is a musical comedy set in a pub in the 1960s in the East End of London.

The script includes a great mix of comical characters who interact to create  non-stop hilarity.  As well as comedy, the audience will be treated to songs in keeping with the era, and dance, so there really is something for everyone.

The show centres on Harry played by Jim Speakman and Daphne played by Jenny Dexter who are the owners of the Hope Pub.  Daphne works hard while Harry drinks and gambles away any profits made.

Despite being put upon by Harry, Daphne loves him unconditionally and carries on with true East End grit to make something of the business and we see the couple prospering in the second half with the show concluding with a happy ending.

Tickets are 8 euros each and includes a free drink on arrival.  They are on sale at the Card Place in Benimar, the Post Room in Benijofar, The Post Box at Dona Pepa in Quesada, Leaf’s in Quesada, Kennedys Supermarket in Los Montesinos and Cards and More in La Marina.
