Eight U-17 women’s national teams will gather in San Pedro del Pinatar for the upcoming edition of the MIMA Cup.

From February 9 to 16, the U-17 women’s teams of England, Mexico, Canada, Sweden, Scotland, and the Czech Republic will compete at Pinatar Arena, while Hungary and Ireland will kick off the event with a double-header.

England’s U-17 women’s team are the current holders defeating Scotland 5-0 in last year’s final.

The competition continues to be a significant event in the development of young female football talent, providing teams with valuable international experience and exposure.

Ahead of the MIMA Cup, two friendly matches between Hungary and Ireland’s U-17 women’s teams will take place at Pinatar Arena on February 5 and 11.

The presence of these teams is expected to generate over 1,500 hotel bookings in San Pedro del Pinatar throughout the tournament week.

Thanks to years of dedicated efforts, Pinatar Arena has established itself as a key international hub for women’s football. The MIMA Cup 2025 will serve as a prelude to the prestigious Costa Cálida Pinatar Cup, which will run from February 19 to 26.

This high-profile tournament, featuring both senior and U-19 categories, will welcome teams such as Canada, Mexico, China, and Chinese Taipei, among others.
