Orihuela’s Summer Sports Campaign 2026 will offer municipal swimming pool openings, swimming courses and sports activities throughout the summer.
Municipal swimming pools will open on 20 June and remain open until 8 September. The pools opening this season are in San Bartolomé, Torremendo, La Murada, La Aparecida and the outdoor area of the Palacio del Agua.
Swimming courses will also be held in Orihuela’s districts. The first sessions will run from 22 June to 3 July in San Bartolomé and Torremendo, followed by a second round from 6 to 18 July in La Murada and La Aparecida.
There will be 160 places available for the district swimming courses. Registration opens on 1 June at 9:00am through www.deportes.orihuela.es.
Intensive swimming courses will also take place throughout July at the Palacio del Agua and CDM Playas de Orihuela, running from 1 to 31 July with more than 600 places available.
Registration for the Palacio del Agua courses opens on 9, 10 and 11 June, while registration for CDM Playas de Orihuela opens on 16, 17 and 18 June. All registrations open from 9:00am via deportes.orihuela.es.
The programme will also include open days at the Municipal Sports Schools, giving residents the chance to learn about the sports available and try different activities.
The 5th Ramón Sánchez Corona Youth Football Tournament will be held at Los Arcos Municipal Stadium on 30 May, 12 June and 13 June.
The summer campaign will also feature activities linked to water sports and golf. Full details are available on the Sports Department website.
