The 5th Youth Forum was recently held as part of an initiative led by the Department of Youth. The forum aimed to gather the concerns, ideas, and proposals of local young people for the development of the Second Youth Plan, which will guide youth policy over the next four years.

A total of 28 young people from Pilar, aged between 16 and 30, took part in the event. In an open and participatory setting, they shared their views and experiences. The Forum served as a space for dialogue, giving young voices a central role and encouraging their direct involvement in the policies that affect them.

The event was attended by Melisa García Roda, Councillor for Youth, and José María Pérez Sánchez, the Mayor, who supported and listened to the participants throughout this important process. On behalf of both, heartfelt thanks were extended to all attendees for expressing the concerns and needs of local youth and for contributing their ideas toward the development of the upcoming Youth Plan. They also emphasized the importance of youth involvement, noting that young people are the future of the community.

The proposals collected during the Forum will be carefully considered for inclusion in the new Youth Plan, which aims to provide realistic and meaningful responses to the current needs of local youth. The Department of Youth will continue working to strengthen collaborative spaces like this one, promoting an active, heard, and empowered youth.
