Bárbara Soler has been unanimously re-elected as general secretary of the PSOE’s municipal executive in Torrevieja, solidifying her leadership within the local party ranks. Currently serving as the deputy leader of the provincial executive, Soler received full support from party members during the internal election process—an outcome the PSOE says reflects renewed unity and trust in the party’s direction.

Soler first assumed the role in 2023, following a transitional period marked by the resignation of former general secretary Andrés Navarro and the appointment of a temporary management committee. Her leadership was soon endorsed when she headed the PSOE list in the 2023 municipal elections, securing 4,700 votes—an increase of 400 over the previous election—and earning the party an additional council seat, bringing their total to six.

Her influence extends beyond the local level. In April, she was appointed First Deputy General Secretary and Spokesperson of the PSPV provincial executive, underscoring the confidence placed in her by regional leadership.

At the local level, Cristina Tañá López has been reaffirmed as party president. The new executive team will also include David Villanueva as Deputy General and Administration Secretary, and Tomás Ruiz as Organization Secretary.
