Agents of the National Police have arrested a man in Benidorm for allegedly trafficking narcotics including cocaine, heroin and hashish and for whom a European Arrest Warrant for Extradition has been issued by the Italian authorities.
The arrest was made when the man went to the Immigration offices to renew his registration.
He is said to be a 25 year old Moroccan national who is wanted in Italy for a drug trafficking crime which is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
The man has been placed at the disposal of the Central Investigative Court of the National Court, the body that will be in charge of carrying out the procedures for his subsequent extradition.
