The Councilor for Festivities has given a very positive assessment of the Medieval Market, which took place last weekend and to which thousands of visitors and tourists gathered over the three days.
“It has been one of the best markets held to date, due to the good weather and the additional shows and entertainment that toured the streets of the city centre throughout the weekend.”
She said that “we have already begun to prepare the next edition because our Medieval Market will turn 25 years old in 2025 and I anticipate that we will have many surprises, because it is a special date that we must commemorate and celebrate in every possible way. high”.
The success of this new edition could be seen by the thousands of visitors throughout the weekend, with the Tourist Office receiving visits from tourists visiting from the United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium and France, as well as many tourists from Madrid, Murcia and other parts of the Valencian Community and the Vega Baja.
The municipality’s museums also had a large influx of visits, especially the Miguel Hernández House Museum, which surpassed 10,000 visits.
Ortuño thanked “the Local Police, National Police, Civil Protection and Emergencies, and Cruz Roja, who ensured the safety of everyone throughout the weekend, although no serious requirements were recorded.”
She also thanked “the entire council team their work and effort carried out during these last weeks leading up to this massive festive event, as well as all the areas involved ”.
The councillor also highlighted that the promotion prior to and during the celebration of the Medieval Market had a great impact through Social Networks, since “the views of promotional content such as videos and photos shared by visitors have exceeded all expectations.”
