This coming Saturday will see non-profit charity Happy Animales Orihuela, holding a party afternoon at Bar Establo, in Villamartin-Eagles Nest, from 1 to 5pm. The event is being held to raise funding for more than 50 animals that the charity supports at their shelter, Finca Villamartin.
There will be a glass of cava on arrival, Country and Western music by Bernd Mann, homemade cakes and a raffle together with the usual good atmosphere!
At Finca Villamartin they provide homes for 12 horses, 8 goats, 8 pigs, 13 geese, 3 peacocks, 2 dogs, 1 ferret, Donald and Daisy Duck, 2 cats ,who looking for their forever home, and a lot of feral cats which were rescued from the streets.
Four beautiful kittens where dumped at the gate of animal charity SAT, who asked if they could be moved to Finca Villamartin. The good news is that 2 have now found their forever homes, while the 2 others are still waiting, so if you would like to see the kittens, please get in touch with Mona 616 792 355
The costs of supporting the animals are 2000 euro a month for which funding needs to be found so you can become a food sponsor for 5.00 euro or more per month or a long term sponsor.

If you would like to go along to the Finca and visit the animals, please do so while, at the same time, taking lettuce, apples, carrots, dog or cat food, dog or cat biscuits or a small donation, as every euro counts!
