Orihuela has transformed into an open-air museum with the arrival of “El Prado en las Calles”, a spectacular outdoor exhibition showcasing life-sized reproductions of 50 iconic masterpieces from the renowned Museo del Prado in Madrid.

Set along the picturesque Paseo de Los Andenes until June 29, visitors can stroll through centuries of Western art history—from Spanish legends like Goya, Velázquez, and El Greco, to Italian and Flemish masters including Caravaggio, Tiziano, Rubens, and Bosch.
To enrich the experience, Orihuela’s Department of Tourism is offering free guided tours led by expert art historians.

These engaging sessions explore themes like:
• Spanish 19th-century painting (June 7, 7:30 PM)
• Venetian masters and Caravaggio (June 12, 7:30 PM)
• The collecting passion of Philip IV (June 21, 10:30 AM)
• The Flemish school of painting (June 27, 7:30 PM)

Each tour is informative, interactive, and perfect for both art lovers and casual visitors. While participation is free, spots are limited—advance registration is required at www.orihuelaturistica.es.
