The Torrevieja and District Hospitality Business Association, AEHTC, has officially presented a new edition of the “Torrevieja and the Sea 2026” Gastronomic Days, an initiative that once again brings together gastronomy, maritime tradition, Mediterranean produce and the promotion of Torrevieja as a tourist destination.

The presentation took place at the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja and was attended by the Councillor for Hospitality and Tourism, Rosario Martínez, institutional representatives, members of the media, participating restaurants and event collaborators.

During the event, the president of the association, José Ignacio Pastor Pérez, underlined the importance of continuing to promote gastronomic initiatives that help position Torrevieja as a culinary and tourist benchmark on the Mediterranean. He also highlighted the talent of local chefs and the quality of the produce from the city’s coastline.

Councillor Rosario Martínez expressed her thanks to all the participating restaurants for their involvement, effort and commitment. She praised the work carried out in preparing “fantastic” menus, which she said would once again make the event an important gastronomic and tourist attraction for the city.

Martínez also congratulated the association for its ongoing work in support of the hospitality sector and for continuing to promote initiatives that showcase local cuisine while helping to boost tourism activity in Torrevieja.

Following the success of last year’s edition, the Gastronomic Days will once again take place on Fridays throughout June. This year, four associated establishments will take part.

Restaurante Las Villas will open the programme on Friday, June 5, followed by Luna Creciente Gastrobar, which joins the initiative for the first time and will present its gastronomic proposal on Friday, June 12.

The programme will continue on Friday, June 19, with Restaurante Luz de Mar, before concluding on Friday, June 26, with La Mar de Bien, which will be responsible for bringing this year’s edition to a close.

The AEHTC gave special thanks to the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, the Torrevieja Tourism Development Centre, the media and all the collaborators involved in making the initiative possible.

The association also highlighted the support of Makro as the official supplier of the event, as well as the backing of the companies and organisations whose collaboration contributes to the success of the Gastronomic Days.

Thanks were also extended to Agamed, represented at the presentation by its deputy director, Gemma Cruz, for its continued support and involvement in the city’s tourism, gastronomic and social initiatives.

With “Torrevieja and the Sea 2026”, the AEHTC continues its commitment to promoting local gastronomy as a key tool for the tourist and economic development of Torrevieja.
