– Victims tied up, pushed into a car, and beaten in a remote lot
– Quick action by Civil Guard and local police leads to arrests
Almoradí, November 24, 2025 – A shocking kidnapping in Almoradí ended with the dramatic rescue of two men and the arrest of their attackers. The Civil Guard and Almoradí local police detained three men, aged 20, 28, and 44, suspected of illegally holding and assaulting their victims in a remote field. A fourth suspect managed to escape just before the authorities arrived and remains at large.
The terrifying ordeal unfolded on the evening of October 31, when the suspects intercepted the two men at separate locations around town. The victims were tied up, forced into a vehicle, and driven to an isolated area, where they were beaten and threatened with dangerous objects.
Alert neighbours witnessed the abductions and immediately called the police. Their quick thinking triggered an urgent response from the Civil Guard and local officers, who tracked the vehicle to a deserted lot. Officers rushed in as the attackers were in the middle of the assault, taking them into custody on the spot. The victims, suffering multiple injuries, were treated by medical personnel.
Preliminary investigations suggest the attack may have been revenge for a robbery that occurred days earlier. The three arrested men now face charges including illegal detention, assault, and serious threats with knives and other dangerous weapons. They have been handed over to the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Orihuela.
The Civil Guard reminded the public that no dispute justifies violent retaliation. Such actions are serious crimes that endanger lives. Authorities urge anyone aware of a crime to report it immediately.
