Murcia, March 30, 2025 – The Civil Guard of the Murcia Region has arrested an experienced criminal in Los Alcázares for allegedly breaking into a home in the coastal town of Mar Menor.
The investigation began after a local resident reported that his house had been burglarized while he was sleeping inside.
The victim provided footage from his home’s security cameras, which showed a young man walking through the living room carrying a large knife on his back.
Authorities determined that the intruder had entered the home by climbing in and launched an investigation to identify the suspect.
Their inquiries led them to a known criminal in the area with a significant history of burglary and theft.
Although the suspect had no fixed address, investigators discovered that he occasionally wandered around Los Alcázares and had been spotted in the neighborhood days before the robbery.
After an extensive search, the Civil Guard located and arrested the man, who had drastically altered his appearance—shaving his head and beard—to avoid recognition. His image, captured on video inside the house with the knife, had already circulated on social media.
The investigation concluded with the arrest of a 30-year-old man with a long criminal record, who is now charged with burglary with force.
