Whilst much attention is given to the larger municipalities in the region, smaller town halls are also facing the elections next week, and in Daya Vieja, the candidate for mayor, who also currently holds the position, José Vicente Fernández, organised a coffee with the head of the list for Alicante to Les Corts and vice president of the Consell and councillor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Aitana Mas, a significant representative from the Compromis group.

The event was billed as “a perfect opportunity for all the residents of Daya Vieja and the region, to listen to the candidate for Les Corts, in a relaxed meeting to learn about the Compromís program and all the proposals of the coalition”, stated Fernández, who invited the public to attend and take advantage of an occasion like this to convey all the needs and issues that concern Daya Vieja and the Vega Baja region.

According to Fernández, “for Compromiso por Daya Vieja it is an honour to have Aitana Mas, whom we thank for this meeting and with whom we work hand in hand every day to advance public services and investments for Daya Vieja.”

“At Compromís we want to continue working to improve Daya Vieja as we have been doing these last four years and we want to continue doing so as of May 28, both from the municipal and regional levels, because we know what our town needs and We know how to do it.”
