La Manga Torrevieja Cricket Club (LMTCC) preparations for the 2022 season continued on February 13 with a fixture against Torre Pacheco.

“We continue to prepare and build for the new season with our second set of pre-season fixtures.

“We welcomed Danny Everett making his 1st XI debut,” said a spokesperson from the club.

LMTCC played a double-header against San Javier CC at La Manga Resort, where LMTCC 1st XI hosted San Javier CC in a T20, in the first games of pre-season.

Junior training for children of all ages and abilities is underway, with introduction to cricket sessions, lead by LMTCC vastly experienced coaches.

“The first net session of 2022 saw six new juniors involved, with a session held by our own coach Neil.

“The club continue junior training with qualified coaches on hand to introduce boys and girls of all ages.

“Spectators and new members are welcome under the Región de Murcia Covid-19 protocols,” said a club spokesperson.

“Junior numbers are rising every week, but we can still accommodate newcomers.

“We are still looking for new players, coaches, umpires, scorers and anyone who wishes to be part of our club.

Madrid United CC staged a combined training day at Sonseca, featuring the club seniors and under 19s.
