28 members from Alfie’s GS travelled by coach to Alhama Signature Golf Course to play for the prestigious Terry Owen Memorial Trophy. This was the furthest we as a society have travelled for one of our meetings, and we were not disappointed.
Arriving stress free with plenty of time to soak up the scenery and use the fantastic practice facilities, this may be the way forward for future events. The course was in excellent condition with deep bunkers, long par 3s, lakes to navigate around and fast undulating greens. This was a very enjoyable and great test of golf to be had by all, so thank you to the committee and especially Ian Ingledew for organising this day.
Our winner of the day in the gold division was Nick Lee with a great score of 37 stableford points
Second place went to Stevie Bicks with a score of 36 points.
The Winner of the silver division was Rachel Lee with a score of 37 stableford points. Second place went to Amrit Dawidow with 33 points.
Nearest the pin on the 7th– Sponsored by ‘The Street Restaurant’ went to Tony Hall
Nearest the pin on the 11th– sponsored by ‘The Celtic Drop‘ went to Nick Lee
Nearest the pin in 2 shots on the 15th – sponsored by ’Alfies Bar’ went to Ian Ingledew
