The 14th edition of the President’s Prize proved to be a most enjoyable and memorable occasion, both on and off the course. The Competitions Committee, under the direction of Camillus Fitzpatrick and Terry Fitzgerald, ensured that proceedings commenced precisely on time.
The course, presented in superb condition, offered a fine test for all competitors. The weather also contributed to the day’s success, with a gentle breeze and clear blue skies providing ideal playing conditions.
A total of eighty members and guests participated in this year’s event, reflecting the continued enthusiasm and camaraderie within the club. The Junta Directiva extends sincere thanks to everyone associated with La Serena Golf Club for their ongoing support and professionalism.
Appreciation is due to Bruno, Jean, José, Karolina, Martha, Oscar, Michael, Felippe, Duly, Fina, Yolanda, Marijose, Gloria, both Vanessas, and all members of the kitchen and service staff who work diligently behind the scenes.
Special recognition must also go to Miguel and the greenkeeping team, whose efforts ensured that the course was presented to the highest possible standard.
Following the conclusion of play, members and guests gathered at Mesón El Prado for a superb dinner featuring an excellent selection of seafood and meats, complemented by local wines and beers.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by Jackie Whyte, whose outstanding performance ensured that the dance floor remained busy throughout the night. We also had an array of very good singers offer their renditions.
Our sincere thanks to Jackie for a truly enjoyable evening.
