One of Spain’s most prestigious bowls tournaments, the Spain Lawn Bowls Champion of Champions, begins next Sunday, 6 April, at Greenlands Bowls Club. This elite competition brings together club champions from across Costa Blanca and Costa Cálida, all vying for the national titles in seven different disciplines.

As a highlight of the Spanish lawn bowls calendar, the tournament attracts many of the top players from expat-populated areas where the sport thrives.

Play starts at 10:00 AM, featuring men’s and ladies’ singles, rinks, and ladies’ pairs. The rinks and mixed pairs will continue into the afternoon. The event will culminate in the finals on Saturday and Sunday.

The men’s and ladies’ singles winners will then go on to represent Spain at the World Finals in 2026, set to take place in Australia at CLUBARHAM, New South Wales.

The 2024 Men’s singles champion, Peter Bonsor, will hope to retain his title while the ladies will be crowning a new champion, as the current holder, Sandra Burrows, has failed to reach this stage.
