Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada certainly does a lot more than just sing at events and rehearse new songs. Every year, they give lots of performances and at every performance they raise money for charity.
This year the members of Melody Makers Singing Group had chosen A Helping Hand Food & Clothes Bank – Costa Blanca as one of the charities they would donate the proceeds of their concerts to at the end of this year.
However after hearing how desperate the charity was for donations and the people who rely on them were, a decision was made to make a donation of €1000 immediately.
The presentation was made during rehearsals, as well as the cash donation, members also brought along donations of food to give to the charity. The charity were very pleased with the donations, it just shows that not only is singing good for you, it can also be good for the community and local charities too.
