STUDIO32’s latest sizzling musical theatre venture hits town next week – it’s the Broadway spectacular “Chicago”. Many people will be familiar with the film starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renée Zelwegger and Richard Gere, a raunchy tale of murder and corruption set in the 1920s.

Last Tango In Chicago

The show features some impressive dance routines and wonderful songs, including “All That Jazz”, “Razzle Dazzle” and the Cellblock Tango featuring all the dancers and chorus. Based on real life events the show is set in a women’s jail, where a group of women are all awaiting trial for murder.

There’s lots of black comedy, love stories, and wonderful characters including a flamboyant crooked lawyer, a corrupt jail warden who will do anything for “her girls”, a love-torn husband – and a few surprises!

As with the film version the stage show does contain content of an adult nature, and the company advise that it is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

Show dates are Wednesday May 30th to Saturday June 2nd at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre in San Fulgencio, all performances start at 7.30pm. Reserved seating tickets, priced at 10 euros, can be obtained by calling 744 48 49 33, or by emailing tickets@studiothirtytwo.org
