Orihuela, May 12, 2025 – Families in Orihuela are in for an exciting and active afternoon this weekend as the city welcomes “Urban Prix,” a fun-filled inflatable obstacle course designed for participants of all ages. Organized by the Department of Family Affairs, the event will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, on Avenida de la Vega, near number 21, at the intersection with Avenida Teodomiro.
The event is part of an initiative to promote family bonding through physical activity. Family Councillor Mª Carmen Portugal highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “The aim is to encourage family interaction, teamwork, and communication in a light-hearted, sporty setting.”
“Urban Prix” features a 300-meter course with five inflatable challenges: an obstacle race (yincana), giant balls, log hurdles, a climbing wall, and a free fall section. The activity is completely free of charge and does not require prior registration.
“This is a course that’s been designed with everyone in mind—from children to adults,” said Portugal, who encouraged all local families to come out and enjoy a different kind of Saturday evening. “It’s about having fun together and strengthening family ties in a dynamic, outdoor environment.”
