Almoradí enjoyed a standout weekend as it hosted the second edition of its Blessing of Motorcycles and Helmets, attracting several hundred riders to the Hermitage of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Puente Don Pedro.
Organised by Motopeña Los Arcasiles in collaboration with the Puente Don Pedro Festival Committee and supported by the Almoradí Town Council, the event exceeded expectations and is fast establishing itself as a highlight of the town’s social and festive calendar.
Proceedings began with a biker meet-up marked by a strong sense of camaraderie, music and a lively atmosphere. A group photograph followed, capturing the scale of participation, with attendees travelling from across the region and nearby areas.
One of the day’s most symbolic moments came with the blessing of motorcycles and helmets, led by Almoradí’s parish priest—a tradition that blends cultural heritage with a message of road safety.
The venue is also gaining recognition as the first sanctuary in the Valencian Community dedicated to the blessing of motorcycles, reinforcing the distinctive character of the event.
Organisers expressed their gratitude to participants, collaborators and attendees, as well as to Civil Protection and the municipal departments of Rural Districts and Tourism, whose support was instrumental in the event’s success.
