The Film Symphony Orchestra returns to Torrevieja with its latest show, TARAB, this Friday, March 7, at 7:30 PM at the International Auditorium. This unique event promises to take the audience on an emotional journey through some of the most iconic film scores of all time.
TARAB is an extraordinary performance inspired by the intense joy and passion that music can evoke. Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy powerful melodies from films such as Dune, Inception, Oppenheimer, Troy, The Little Mermaid, Gravity, Frozen, The Mummy Returns, Schindler’s List, Legends of the Fall, Forrest Gump, The Martian, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Fantastic Beasts, and many more.
With an approximate duration of 150 minutes, this concert offers a fully immersive cinematic experience, where every note will bring back memories of beloved stories that have left a lasting impact on generations—just as the orchestra has done in its previous breathtaking performances in Torrevieja.

Youth Habaneras Competition
On March 7 and 8, Torrevieja will host the 30th edition of the International Youth Habaneras Competition at the Municipal Theater, an event that has become a global reference in youth choral music. Established in 1995 as an extension of the International Habaneras Competition, it gathers talented choirs from Spain and beyond, preserving the habanera tradition while fostering choral excellence.
This year’s edition will feature three outstanding national groups:
Youth Choir of the Official Conservatory of Music “Hermanos Berzosa” (Cáceres, Extremadura)
“Arsis” Choir from the Divertimento Music School (Oviedo, Asturias)
“The Voice of Emotions” Choir from IES Isabel la Católica (Ávila, Castilla y León)
Additionally, the Symphony Choir of the Municipal Choral School and the “La Purísima” Choir, conducted by Selena Cancino Escobar and Aurelio Martínez López, will complete an unforgettable musical experience.
A distinguished jury, including Iñaki Lecumberri, José Vicente Campello Fernández, and Rosario Torres Salinas, will evaluate the performances, with all participants required to interpret the mandatory piece “Con sabor a sal”, composed by Maestro Ricardo Lafuente with lyrics by María Teresa Pertusa.

Flamenco in Its Purest Form – 7th Edition
On March 9 at 7:00 PM, the Municipal Theater of Torrevieja will host the 7th International Flamenco Day, a spectacular gala organized by the Casa de Andalucía Rafael Alberti. This much-anticipated event will bring together top flamenco artists for a truly unforgettable evening.
