The Cheltenham Festival 2022 during March 15-18 features 14 Grade One races across seven-racecards, renowned as the best Jump racing in Britain.

On day one, Champion Day, features The Unibet Champion Hurdle; day two, Ladies Day, featuring The Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase; day three, St Patricks, featuring The Ryanair Chase and the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle; day four, Gold Cup Day, featuring The Cheltenham Gold Cup.

History was made in the 2020 Cheltenham Gold Cup, with 68,000 racegoers in attendance witnessing Al Boum Photo winning the Gold Cup for the second consecutive year, under Paul Townend.

Willie Mullins trained Al Boum Photo became the first back-to-back winner of the £625,000 G1 Cheltenham Gold Cup since Best Mate in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
