Zenia Boulevard has announced a packed programme of events for June, with activities celebrating the environment, music, local traditions and LGBTQIAP+ Pride.

The Orihuela Costa shopping centre, managed by Nhood and owned by Ceetrus and CBRE Investment Management, says the programme is designed to strengthen its role as a meeting point for families, visitors and the local community.

The month’s activities begin on June 6 with an “Environmental Bingo” event to mark World Environment Day. Starting at 6pm, the initiative aims to encourage more sustainable habits among visitors.

Instead of traditional prizes, participants will be able to win native plants. The centre says the idea is to raise awareness of biodiversity and the importance of protecting the local environment. Native species are adapted to the area’s climate, helping to reduce water use and limit environmental impact.

To take part, visitors must be members of Zenia Boulevard’s loyalty club, or sign up on the day, and present a purchase receipt of at least €30.

Murcian Tradition and New Musical Talent

On June 9, Zenia Boulevard will celebrate the Day of the Region of Murcia with a special event featuring traditional dance performances by the folk group El Candil.

Visitors will also be able to receive a commemorative mug by presenting a purchase receipt of more than €50.

Music will take centre stage again on Saturday, June 13, with a new edition of “Zenia’s Talent Show”. The competition gives young performers the chance to show their talent on a real stage in front of a live audience.

Zenia Boulevard says the initiative is intended to support creativity, promote local artistic culture and offer participants a memorable experience.

Orihuela Costa Queen Election and Pride Celebrations

The programme will continue on June 21 with the election of the Queen of Orihuela Costa, one of the area’s most traditional and community-focused events.

The winner will go on to represent Orihuela Costa at official events, parades and local celebrations.

To close the month, Zenia Boulevard will once again mark LGBTQIAP+ Pride Month with “Colour Day” on June 29.

The event will include a parade through the shopping centre and the “Colour Show”, featuring live music and choreography. The centre says the event aims to promote diversity, respect and equality.

“At Zenia Boulevard, we want to continue being much more than a shopping centre. We are committed to creating experiences, building community and offering activities that connect with the interests and values of our visitors,” the centre said.

Zenia Boulevard will also extend its opening hours from June 15 to coincide with the start of the summer season, remaining open every day of the week.
