The Department of Education of Torrevieja City Council and the University of Alicante (UA) – Torrevieja Campus have announced the launch of the “Your Mobile from Scratch” course, a theoretical and practical program designed to teach participants how to use their mobile phones effectively. The course will be offered through UA’s Permanent University Program.
Who Is It For?
The course is primarily aimed at individuals aged 50 and older, regardless of their previous knowledge of mobile phones, computing, the internet, or email. It is designed to help participants gain confidence and improve their digital skills in a structured and supportive environment.
Course Details
Location: UA Torrevieja Campus (2nd floor, Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen).
Duration: March – May 2025.
Schedule: Morning sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 09:30 – 13:00.
Afternoon sessions: Wednesdays, 16:30 – 20:00.
Course Dates: March: 20, 25, 26. April: 1, 3, 8, 9, May: 6, 8, 13, 15, 20
Instructors: Professors Irene Garrigós Fernández, María Estela Saquete Boro, and Sonia Vázquez-Pérez from UA’s Polytechnic School IV.
Course Fees & Enrolment
Cost: €68 (includes enrolment, university ID card – TIU, and insurance).
Attendance Requirement: Participants must attend at least 80% of the sessions to receive a completion certificate.
