Less than 24 hours after the publication of the new ‘Most Wanted List’ by Crimestoppers, the National Police have arrested Joshua Hendry in Malaga.
Hendry, who is the subject of an International Arrest Warrant for Extradition by the UK authorities, is wanted for drug trafficking and belonging to a criminal group based in Liverpool.
After receiving the list on Wednesday, the agents identified one of the men in the town of San Pedro de Alcántara in Marbella, in the province of Málaga.
As they were verifying the information received, they observed a man who was walking a dog and whose physical characteristics were very similar to the wanted man. After several checks, the agents arrested the fugitive.
Operation Most Wanted is a project of the British National Crime Agency (NCA) and the non-governmental non-profit organization Crimestoppers launched in 2006 to identify fugitives wanted by the British Police, mainly for crimes related to drug trafficking, murder, robbery.
Of the 95 fugitives included in its list of most wanted who could be hiding in Spain, 86 have already been located and arrested.
