Torrevieja City Council has presented plans for the new Tomas Ballester Herrera Day Centre, an €8 million facility dedicated to caring for people with Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Completion is anticipated by Spring 2027.
Orihuela’s municipal council held its first plenary session on the coast in Playa Flamenca last Thursday, drawing protests from around 100 residents denouncing neglect, inequality, and poor municipal services. Despite the shift of venue, however, none of the items debated were specific to the coast.
