Los Montesinos is gearing up for a new edition of its much-anticipated Tapas Route, set to take place on April 26 and 27. This year, 21 local bars and restaurants have confirmed their participation, each offering a variety of creative and traditional tapas at a set price of 3 euros per tapa.
This gastronomic initiative, organized by the Los Montesinos Town Hall through its Department of Tourism, aims to promote local hospitality businesses and energize the town through its vibrant culinary scene — one of its greatest attractions.
Participants will also have the chance to win prizes. Every visitor can fill out a “Tapas Ticket,” available at each participating venue, to vote for their favourite tapa and enter a draw for two free meals or dinners to continue enjoying local cuisine.
The vote count will take place on May 9, when the winning tapa — the one most favoured by the public — will be announced and awarded a special recognition.
Mayor José Manuel Butrón emphasized, “The Tapas Route is much more than just a food event. It’s an opportunity to showcase the talent of our hospitality sector, promote local tourism, and celebrate the culinary identity of Los Montesinos. We invite all residents and visitors to explore the town through its flavours.”
Tourism Councillor Ana Belén Juárez Pastor added, “At the Department of Tourism, we continue to support initiatives that boost our local economy and highlight the best of Los Montesinos. With 21 establishments participating this year, the Tapas Route promises to be a great success. I encourage everyone to join, vote, and savour the best our town has to offer.”
The Los Montesinos Tapas Route has become one of the town’s most eagerly awaited gastronomic events, and this year’s edition, with its wide and varied offering, promises to once again delight all palates.
