During the months of February and March, affective-sexual education workshops have been held in primary schools in the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada.
In coordination with each of the schools, 4 sessions have been carried out aimed at the 6th grade students, in addition to an informative talk, ‘The passage from childhood to adolescence’.
For more than a decade, the Department of Social Services has been organising this activity in coordination with the management team of each school. Participating teachers and families point out the importance of dealing, in a clear way to the development of the pupils, with the changes they are undergoing at a physical level (puberty) and which have an impact on their psychological and emotional experience.
Comprehensive affective-sexual education has positive effects on boys and girls as it contributes, among other things, to the prevention and reduction of violence and gender discrimination.
