Officers from the National Police arrested three people, one minor and two adults, all of Spanish and aged between 17 and 22, for allegedly breaking into a house in Orihuela.
The Police control centre received a call from a member of the public reporting three men entering a house, therefore, several patrols rushed to the scene.
Thanks to their quick movement, upon arrival, they were able to discover one of the perpetrators manipulating the lock of the door, which was already open. They also observed two men fleeing through a window at the back of the house, when they were discovered by the officers.
The individual who was standing by the door was quickly arrested. The second arrest took place shortly afterwards, in an area close to the scene of the crime, and the last one located on another nearby road. This last arrest was carried out after a foot chase through an area of crops, as the alleged perpetrator ran away when he was discovered.
A variety of tools were seized, all of them suitable for committing robberies, such as pliers, hammer, wrench, cold chisel, and screwdrivers, among others.
The adults were brought before the Orihuela Court, and the minor, following the most urgent investigative steps, was released after reporting the facts to the Alicante Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
