Selection Donald McCain jnr trained Bob’s Bar (7-2) ran second in the New Year’s Novices Hurdle behind winner High Moon.
Harry Fry trained Dubrovnik Harry (10-11) was a winning selection at Exeter under Lorcan Murtagh.
Nick Gifford trained River Tyne (5-1) from 6-1 tipped each-way finished second at Fakenham in the Happy New Year Maiden Hurdle, beaten 1 1/2 lengths by odds-on 4-7 favourite Hidor De Bersy ridden by Tom Scudamore.
