Having previously teased in an interview with The Leader that the project would be published soon, Sueña Torrevieja released details of their plans to build a major exhibition and concert hall for the town, which will be able to hold concerts, congresses, fairs, and events, with a capacity for 15,000 people.
Pablo Samper, candidate for mayor of Sueña Torrevieja, affirms that “there are many demands and suggestions from residents of Torrevieja that transferred us the possibility that throughout the year Torrevieja could host international level certainties also respecting the coexistence with the neighbours of the areas annexed to the concert areas”.
In addition, Samper points out, “that in recent editions many shows by local artists and events such as carnival galas were short of tickets for the great demand of spectators so with this venue there would be no problem to host them.”
This enclosure located in the plots annexed to the Official School of Languages, would also give the possibility of having a specific place to develop fairs, congresses and exhibitions of all kinds at an international level, something that does not exist in Torrevieja to have to enable other spaces that are not prepared for it, such as the auditorium hall or the Sports Palace, which also causes problems of cancellation of training and competitions for days.
“This would be the case, for example, of the ComarCON, which takes place in the Palacio de Deportes and that in this way would mean achieving a growth of visitors, as well as having all the facilities for its celebration”.
Samper concludes by stating that “the venue would also be prepared for the dispute of international sporting events, in the style of the Wizink Center in Madrid, and would put Torrevieja in the international spotlight as a sports reference”.
