Despite around 20 noisy protesters greeting the Valencian President at the Town Hall door, Carlos Mazon, has unveiled a €5 million investment package aimed at revitalising the Eras de la Sal complex in Torrevieja, highlighting its potential to become a cornerstone of tourism, culture, and heritage preservation.
A further €19 million was announced for the construction of 3 new schools.
Also in Torrevieja, the council has announced the award of a contract to draft plans for the introduction of a Low Emission Zone which, despite a 30 June deadline, is unlikely to be completed before the end of September.
