Torrevieja’s mayor, Eduardo Dolón, alongside Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Economic Development, Rosario Martínez; Councilor for NGOs and Citizen Participation, Trudy Páez; and Councilor for Local Development and Entrepreneurship, Domingo Paredes, inaugurated the First Employment Fair for Inclusion this morning at the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre.
The event was a resounding success, attracting nearly 500 job seekers and featuring a wide range of organisations and businesses committed to employment and inclusion.
Among the participating organisations were Labora, Amfa, Fundación Adiem, Cruz Roja, Cocemfe, Convega, and the Torrevieja Tourism Center (CDT). Companies with a strong social commitment to job creation, such as Carrefour, Primark, Día, Leroy Merlin, Tabisam, Alannia, Casa Verde, and Pepco, were also in attendance.
Organised by the Torrevieja Entities Committee, la Mesa de Entidades de Torrevieja, which comprises 20 local organisations, the fair aimed to connect talent with employers and improve job opportunities for all. Attendees benefited from talks, workshops, personalized interviews, and CV drop-offs, making the event a valuable platform for employment and professional growth.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón praised the organizers for the event’s success, emphasizing that such initiatives play a crucial role in job searching and fostering workforce inclusion. He confirmed that the Employment Fair for Inclusion will continue in the coming years, further strengthening opportunities for job seekers in Torrevieja.
