Under the direction of the courts in Torrevieja, simultaneous dawn raids were carried out on Tuesday across Alicante and Murcia, in a macro-operation against marijuana cultivators.
Although much of the operation is covered by a secrecy order, it is known that the National Police and the Guardia Civil have been active in different locations across Alicante and Murcia, with at least 30 people being arrested and “several hundred kilos” or marijuana and other narcotic substances being seized, along with items related to the cultivation and distribution of the drug.
It is expected that those arrested will appear before the courts to be dealt with, whilst more arrests are not being ruled out.
