The Costa Blanca and Costa Calida Leader racing tipster Andrew Atkinson put some sunshine on a wet Spain when Kachy won the Betway All-Weather Sprint Championships Conditions Stakes over 6 furlongs at Lingfield.
While persistent rain fell in Spain, glorious sunshine graced sun- drenched Britain on Good Friday, where ice creams were enjoyed at Lingfield.
Kachy, out of the stalls like a bullet, breezed to a 3 1/4 length success under jockey Richard Kingscote, ahead of George Bowen, and Merhoob.
Kachy, trained by Tom Dascombe, who underwent a wind operation this winter, returned a 4-9 hot-favourite in the Sprint Final.
A Group 3 winner on the turf, Kachy’s sizzling form on the all-weather this winter was underlined when winning in course-record time at Wolverhampton.
Kachy had to overcome a wide draw (8) but pinged the gates and lead throughout, to win: “I just love the horse,” said jockey Kingscote.
“Since having a wind operation he’s broken two track records – it’s significantly helped him,” said Dascombe.
