Mojácar’s ‘La Fuente’ Art Gallery has opened its doors to an exhibition of digital graphic work entitled “Agartha” by Antonia García Amat, an interior designer and artist. On show until July 28th, the show is part of the local Council’s cultural programme and, includes 29 of her selected works made during the last two years using digital printed technology.
Antonia García Amat, an architect with a catalogue of related work experience, has also delved into other activities, although they always link to art and design.
The colours of her images literally flood the gallery in a very modern style, where the onlooker can quickly see that this creative artist is skilled in instilling life and light into interiors and forms of decoration.
Each of her works deserve a careful appraisal and, they invite the viewer to study these seemingly pictorial puzzles she has designed through her observations. The harmony of her works combined with the digital enhancements form a visual effect she describes “confortvisual”, creating a centre of attention which draws in the viewer’s gaze through the intense use of colour, light and shade.
Mojácar’s Municipal Art Gallery, ‘La Fuente’, is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with afternoons by appointment, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
