A 29-year-old man, who had just been released from prison, might well find himself back there, although he has once again been released for now, after he was arrested for allegedly committing numerous robberies inside homes in Rojales, some of which had people living inside.

According to the Guardia Civil, the man is accused of at least ten home robberies, including two cases in which the owners were inside the houses, as well as other related crimes.

The investigation began in February 2024 when officers at the Almoradí police station received several reports of robberies in various homes in Rojales, initiating an operation that led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator, a 29-year-old man who had been released from prison six days before the first reported crime.

For several months, the suspect remained missing, continuing his criminal activity in the Rojales residential area.

In some cases, he entered homes while the owners were present, stealing valuables and bank cards which he then used to withdraw money from ATMs.

Investigators managed to locate the suspect and after carrying out several surveillances, they managed to stop him while he was driving through the streets of the area, where officers discovered tools believed to have been used in the robberies in the vehicle he was driving.

The detainee, who is charged with a total of 14 crimes of burglary in homes, robbery with intimidation, theft in a home with occupants, vehicle theft, bank fraud, and driving without a licence, was been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction number 2 of Torrevieja, which has ordered his release with precautionary measures.
