Real Murcia, who play in the third tier of the Spanish League system, played out a goalless draw on Tuesday against Sheffield Wednesday, at the Pinatar Arena, in the first of their two friendly fixtures in Spain.
In an entertaining encounter, watched by a healthy crowd of approximately 1500, it was a fast paced contest played in soaring temperatures, despite an 8pm ko, and in which both teams gave a good account of themselves.
During the first half it was the newly promoted local side that looked the most likely to score, but with Wednesday keeper Charles in fine form the two sides got to the break without reward.
As the Owls grew into the game Iorfa made a nuisance of himself, heading a Josh Windass corner narrowly off target.
