At a meeting of the local board, the Councilor for Security, Marina Sáez, spoke of the collaboration between the different security services in the town, which she described as being fundamental, basic and necessary to the safekeeping of the general public, the actions of which are particularly well integrated in Pilar de la Horadada.
She explained that although the statistics show only a moderate crime rate throughout the municipality, the residents report the lack of presence or patrolling of agents, which is why she has requested that the Subdelegation of the Government increase the number of officers at the main Civil Guard barracks in Torre de la Horadada.
At the meeting of the members spoke of issues related to the operation of the Viogen office, security operations for the summer, prevention and coordination actions in the area of drugs and crimes against property and the assessment of recent actions that have taken place in the area, particularly in Pinar de Campoverde where investigations are ongoing, about which it is not advisable to provide more information at the moment.
The meeting was attended by the mayor and councillors together with the subdelegate of the Government in Alicante, the head of the Violence against Women Unit, the Colonel Chief of the Alicante Civil Guard Command the Lieutenant Colonel of the Torrevieja company, the Lieutenant Commander of the Pilar de la Horadada Civil Guard Post, the Chief Inspector of the Autonomous Police of Elche, the Head of the Orihuela National Police and the Chief Inspector of the Local Police of Pilar de la Horadada.
