Charo Esquiva has beaten the Russian tennis player Vlada Mincheva in two sets, 7-6 (3) and 6-1, as she moved into the last 16 following a performance that once again demonstrated her courage to get out of difficult situations.
The 15 year old girl from Bigastro, will now play the Dane, Rebecca Munk Mortensen, seeded number 34 in the ranking. Following her performance at the Parisian Club in the competition to date, however, Charo now stands at number 26 in the Junior world ranking.
The promising player from the Torrevieja Tennis Club first beat the Romanian Mara Gae, two years her senior, in the first round of the emblematic French tournament, in three sets, after coming back from a set down: 4-6, 6-4 and 6 -3.
