Tom Marquand rode Joseph Parr trained Aljaryaal (10-11) fromthehorsesmouth.info eighth winning tip, when landing the Unibet Handicap over 1m 3f at Kempton on Saturday night.
Selections Sea Gray (9-4), Dubai Lady (6-4) and Guiseppe Cassioli (7-2) were placed.
At Lingfield jockey Ross Coakley, 27, rode Chance to victory, tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info for Simon and Ed Crisford.
“These small-field, high-quality races are always tactically run and you need to have the rub of the green to win, but luckily Chance managed to finish off his race really well,” said Simon Crisford.
“The pace was very modest but he showed a good turn of foot up the straight. He’s now got six wins from 18 starts and it was a good effort from him in that company, so I’m sure there’s more to come.
“We’ve got runners all over the place right now, including Dubai and Bahrain. It’s always nice to keep ourselves active and it’s a brilliant start to the year,” he added.
At Newcastle trainer Ann Hamilton saddled Bavington Bob, chalking up a ninth winner of the season under Brian Hughes.
“I think he raced lazily – the ground is sticky and he was very deliberate with his jumping, but he did his job well in the end. He just keeps staying on,” said Hamilton.
“We don’t give the horse the credit he deserves – because he’s so quiet and like a pet at home. He’s still a novice and he needs to know he’s got a job to do, but when he goes out he’s fantastic and we love him,” she added.
Trainer Evan Williams saddled 13-year-old Prime Venture to win the Unibet Veterans handicap at Sandown Park.
“I’m getting older now and going soft and getting emotional about everything,” said Williams.
Prime Venture’s win was for owner Janet Davies, whose colours were carried to victory in the past by the Williams-trained Court Minstrel.
“When you get owners like this it means a lot to you. They’ve been with me a long time and have had some great days.
“But when owners stick by you and want to enjoy the journey, even when things aren’t happening then that’s really special,” said Williams.
Prime Venture was winning for just the second time over fences, and Williams said: “He hasn’t won very much – but he’s run some mighty races in the Welsh National.
“Perhaps I was guilty of training him for the Welsh National all his life, so he didn’t get the opportunity to win as many races as he should have, but I’m so happy and so proud he has today for Mr and Mrs Davies.
“I cannot emphasise enough that if you give your trainer the space and let them hatch a plan, then at some point you’ll be properly rewarded for it. They’ve been loyal and passionate supporters of Welsh racing and I’m delighted for them.”
Prime Venture’s was under jockey Adam Wedge: “It was very hard work out there and Evan just told me to go out, hunt him away and ride him to finish, so it was all about getting him there at the right time.
“He always wears his heart on his sleeve and tries his hardest, so I’m delighted for him and for the owners too, who put so much into racing and into the yard. They deserve to get something out of it like this,” said Wedge.
