A deal has been agreed between Chelsea and Real Madrid for the striker Eden Hazard freetips.com has learned today. The player will make a move for a massive €100M or £88.5M it has been reported today.

Hazard was instrumental in helping Chelsea secure victory over Arsenal in the Europa League final in a decisive 4-1 victory. And said following the game “I think it is a goodbye, but in football, you never know”. It was known that Chelsea and Real Madrid had been in discussions over the player, but no fee had yet been agreed. On Wednesday the news came through that the fee had been agreed and it was a massive £88.5M. They are now just waiting for the paperwork to go through and the contracts to be signed.

Hazard has had a hugely successful time with Chelsea over the last seven years. The Belgian twenty-eight-year-old has helped them to win the Europa League twice, the Premier League twice and even the FA cup once as well. Hazard, who won’t be the only departure from the club, was highly praised by Maurizio Sarri, who will also be leaving the club. Sarri indicated that he knew Hazard had wanted to leave the club for some time and said “As you know, Hazard is a wonderful player, but you have to spend two or three months to understand him as a man, but when you are able to understand him as a man, he’s a wonderful man. I knew Eden wanted to leave. But I wanted to respect his decision.”

Hazard still had one year left to run on his contract with Chelsea but felt that now was the right time to make a move. He did, however, rule out playing for any other team in the Premier League. And he spoke about this in the run-up to the Europa League final. “No chance, no chance. I am a Blue. It means a lot to me. I cannot play for another club in this country.”

Real Madrid is looking to rebuild their squad after a disappointing season in which they only managed to finish third in La Liga. During the season they lost some twelve games, which meant that they placed just third, some nineteen points behind eventual champions Barcelona. They also didn’t manage to get past the last sixteen of the Champions League, after they were knocked out by Ajax following a 4-1 defeat at home, to leave them with a final score of 5-3 on aggregate.

Management at Real Madrid hasn’t been that stable either, as they sacked their former manager Julen Lopetegui back in October in an attempt to change their fortunes. For a while, they made do with caretaker manager Santiago Solari before they eventually hired Zinedine Zidane to be a permanent replacement back in March. They have already made other deals for defender Éder Militão from Porto, and Luka Jovic the striker from Eintracht Frankfurt, so Hazard will be an excellent compliment to the squad.
