The Lo Romero Golf Invitational 2026 has raised €63,000 for Fundación Dar de Sí during a charity golf day held in Pilar de la Horadada.
The event, promoted by Lo Romero Golf president Pedro Jiménez Ruiz, brought together 68 players and has further established itself as one of the leading charity golf events in south-east Spain.
All funds raised through participant contributions and supporting companies will go directly to projects run by Fundación Dar de Sí at the Lola del Pasico Residence in Torre Pacheco. The centre provides care and support to people with intellectual disabilities, working to improve their quality of life and promote inclusion.
Organisers paid special tribute to Pedro Jiménez Ruiz for his continued commitment to the foundation and his key role in turning the tournament into a major annual charity event.
One of the most emotional moments came during the prize-giving ceremony, when Banco Mediolanum presented a €10,000 charity cheque. The cheque was handed over by Iván Ruiz and received by Fundación Dar de Sí president Ascensión Méndez.
The event was supported by the Valencian Community Golf Federation, official sponsor Pujante, and a wide range of local and regional companies.
Tournament winners included James Woodham, who claimed the Scratch prize, Pedro Moreno, winner of the First Category, and Paqui García Capel, winner of the Second Category.
The day ended with a prize draw and lunch prepared by Restaurante Rincón de Joaquín, with organisers praising the support of players, sponsors, collaborators and volunteers.
Lo Romero Golf said the success of the event demonstrated the power of collaboration between business, sport and social causes, while confirming its commitment to continue supporting the work of Fundación Dar de Sí in future editions.
