Benejúzar, 16 December 2024 – The Benejúzar Town Council has earmarked €90,576 to support nearly 20 cultural, leisure, and community associations in the municipality for the year 2024. This funding will enable these groups to organize various projects and events, fostering an active and vibrant cultural scene in the town.
Mayor Vicente Cases highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating, “Benejúzar’s associative fabric is very dynamic, and the efforts of these groups allow residents to enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the year.”
Beneficiaries of the Aid
The funding will benefit a range of associations, including:
Cultural Groups: Asociación Cultural Piratas de Benzar, Grupo Folklórico El Pilar, Benejúzar Musical Union Band, and San Juan Evangelista Drum and Bugle Band.
Sports Clubs: Atlético Benejúzar football club, Cycling Club La Campanera, and participants in mountain bike competitions.
Social and Community Organizations: Adis (Association of People with Functional Diversity), Association of Men and Women of the Third Age, and the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Pilar, among others.
Education and Youth Support: Parent-teacher associations of CEIP Antonio Sequeros and IES Benejúzar.
Mayor Cases expressed gratitude for the contributions of these associations, noting that their efforts are integral to organizing the town’s cultural, leisure, and sports activities, which benefit the entire community.
