WEDNESDAY, 7 MARCH 2018 – EL PLANTIO
This week nineteen players travelled to El Plantio where we received a warm welcome from the staff. We found this popular course to be in a better than expected condition and very playable.
David “B” was the winner of Division two, who also had the best overall score with 39 pts (off 25), now playing off handicap 20.6. Second place went to Sheila Dindar with 34 pts (off 33), with Arthur Sullivan taking third spot with 32 pts (off 27).
Division one was topped by Chris Williamson with 37 pts (off 9), David Knight was second with 35pts (off 11), just edging out Steve Smith (off 6) on count back. Steve wrapped up a good day’s work by taking the two nearest the pin prizes on holes 9 and 18, as well as winning a coveted Warbler ball for the only “two” of the day on the fourteenth. Sheila Dindar closed the proceedings by taking the football card with Clydebank.
