Torrevieja has officially presented the sixth edition of “Croqueteando por Torrevieja”, a gastronomic route dedicated to croquettes, organised by the Torrevieja and District Hospitality Business Association, AEHTC, with sponsorship from Roldán Netya.
The launch took place at the CdT Torrevieja, where 16 participating establishments presented their entries for the “Croquetas al Gusto” competition. These same creations will be available to the public during the route, which will run from 11 to 17 May.
Residents and visitors will be able to sample each croquette with a drink for €3.50 at the participating venues. The proposals include traditional flavours such as Iberian ham, oxtail, cheek meat and caldero, as well as more creative combinations including prawn and coconut, Caribbean chicken with piña colada, Portobello mushroom with gorgonzola, and scallop with sea-style alioli.
AEHTC president José Ignacio Pastor praised the creativity and professionalism of the local hospitality sector, while Torrevieja officials highlighted the event’s growing importance in the city’s gastronomic calendar.
The competition winners will be announced on 19 May, with prizes including trophies, cash awards of up to €1,000, and Roldán Netya product vouchers.
