The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has conducted an investigation in Cieza, leading to the arrest of a worker for stealing jewellery worth €3,000 from a local store.

The investigation began when the store owner reported the disappearance of a box containing jewellery.

According to the victim, he had hidden two boxes with jewellery in the store’s false ceiling. During maintenance work on the store’s security cameras, a worker found one of the boxes and handed it over. However, the other box went missing.

The Civil Guard’s inquiries focused on retrieving footage from the surveillance cameras that were operational on the day of the incident.

In one of the videos, the worker—unaware that the camera was recording—can be seen climbing a ladder, tampering with the false ceiling, and taking a small box. He then allegedly concealed it in his toolbox to remove it from the store without raising suspicion.
